Alcohol Abuse

I need to know if one's doctor can have one arrested...I would have posted on the narcotic page but apparently no one visits. SO please if someone knows could you tell me if a person can go to his doctor for intravenous-drug related health problems and still maintain cofidentiality.Or if there is a genius out there who can save us all the trouble, do you know if and how seriously damaging it could be to inject a very small amount( less than 1/8 teaspoon)of impure subtances into the wrist and possibly miss the vein, create a huge swollen, painful lump(the lump was almost twenty times bigger than the amount of liquid injected) and then days later have pain and ridiculous bruising? Will this go away or does it need to be looked at by a doctor?
