Bladder Control

My son, 18 had a neurogenic bladder. The urologist put in a Mitrofanoff Catheter and it failed. He leaks out his belly button after 2 hours. I fear the more we cath him, the more chance of infection. The Doctor went in through the belly button 2xs already and sprayed a generous amount of collogen to "bulk" up the bladder. But that has not helped at all. I would love to hear from another person who can suggest what to do now, or a Doctor that would be willing to have a look and give me another opinion. This Doctor suggested cutting him open again and looking around to "tighten" things up. That gets me a bit nervous because his success rate has failed so far and this is not a simple operation. Any help out there? I would so much appreciate it!
