bladder retention

Post a new topicby bcoceo on Mon Feb 18, 2008 5:19 pm

7 yrs ago, during childbirth...my uterus ruptured and adhered to my bladder and tore a hole in it. Every since then, I have had issues. I have had about 6 uteral stents cause I have a mild case of hydronephrosis.
I keep recurring bladder infections.
I did have a urteral sling done to help prevent leakage. and it did work.
but, my bladder still will not empty. I am told its because of the nerve damage at the base of my bladder.
My question is.....has anyone else gone thru something similiar? Is there a way to fix this problem?

to avoid infection, I would suggest making sure the bladder is empty with a catheter
