never seen this OAB problem

Post a new topicby cheribird on Wed Apr 16, 2008 8:15 am

Hi all. I have never heard of anyone having this 'type' of overactive bladder problem. Most of the time I have OAB, having to go a dozen times a day and several time during the nite. However, during my period, it seems I am 'normal'. I have tried the Ditropan - it makes it worse as I can't completly empty, and the Detrol works maybe the first day and then it quits working. Several years ago, I was told my Uterus was 'tipped' and that could be part of my OAB problem. Has anyone every heard of this problem and if so, what are my options - other than a hysterectomy I dont have any objections to that, but it seems a bit drastic. I'm 47 and this problem has increased maybe in the past 10 years. Have never been pregant or had any abdominal surgeries since I was 14.
Thanx to anyone who can shed lite on this.
