stress/urge incontenence w/ ortho disability

Post a new topicby jfeuerbacher8362 on Tue Jun 10, 2008 1:50 pm

I was diagnosed with stess/urge incontenence about 10 years ago at the age of 35. Initally, I was started on Detrol LA and then switched over to Enablex 3 or 4 years later. Neither seemed to be a good solution. The last year or so switched to depends. Now I'm going thru about 4 changes of clothes daily. And I'm tired of Doctor's rolling their eyes at me like I have to live with it.
How do I go about getting my family doctor to send me to see a urologist for a surgical consult. I'd like to consider surgical options I'm only 46 and can hardly leave the house these days.

Hi,

Go back to your G.P n say u would like to be refered to a urologist with a view to finding more treatment as meds you are on are not helpfull anymore.

So u can find out if thier are any surgical optitions you can consider.

I am having an op oct for incontinence ect.
