Surgery vs No Surgery

Post a new topicby abatch on Thu Nov 20, 2008 4:21 pm

I had the urodynamics tests and I did not release urine with a full bladder when asked to cough or stand/cough. I'm used to holding those muscles. The Dr later discussed the results and said the tests did not indicate urgency inconsidence issue and that I have a very strong urethra. My history shows a stress problem. My problem occurs when working out, running, coughing/sneezing etc. I need to wear panty liners & a tampon when doing any cardio workouts. I'm a very acitve 40yr old with small children. Not sure if I should do the surgery or live with the inconvenience until it gets worse and unlivable. The Dr. said he can't guarantee the procedure will cure my problem. He stressed the risk in any surgery. No sure what I should do, its not a severe problem but definitely a problem for me with daily activities.
