VesiCareHi All! I am 37 years old and recently diagnosed with an overactive bladder. I also have a problem fully emptying my bladder. The frequent trips to the bathroom and the horrible discomfort that accompanied the pressure was so scary, in part because I also have MS and felt the bladder symptoms were indicative of ms progression.
I have been on 10mg of VesiCare for 2 weeks and I want to share with others what a great medication it has been for me. I am now only going to the bathroom 9 times a day as opposed to the 16 times 2 weeks ago. Moreover, I no longer have the terrible feeling of pressure and urgency. I still use urinary pads to sleep in just in case, but luckily they have not been needed. I hope this post might be useful for someone who has these problems and has not tried VesiCare, because maybe it might help.
Re: VesiCareHello ,
I am very sorry for your symptoms. I am glad vesicare is working for you. I am very new to all this and trying to learn. we are the same age and vesicare was prescribed to me over the weekend, before i have seen doctor. I have been stressed about all this and i am emotionally drained. I know how you feel about all the peeing, although vesicare has helped trememdously this weekend. Would you have any thoughts or advice on my post? i would really appreciate it ! thanks and hope all things are well with you :) LA
Re: VesiCareHi, I read your post and I am sorry for what you are going through! You mentioned that you just began VesiCare, keep in mind that the literature says it takes several weeks to really be effective. I started to see an improvement the 1st week, but I would say that I really got the benefits after about two weeks and continued to get better into my 4th week. I went from Urinating about 16 or 17 times a day to stabilizing at about 7 times a day with minimal leakage.
I hope you get some relief! Also, if the attitude of your doctor was pretty condescending and minimizing, then see if you can find a more compassionate doctor. It has to be terrible to have your doctor be insensitive on top of having to deal with OAB! Good Luck!
