Anyone else a triple Negative?

Post a new topicby danelle on Wed Apr 09, 2008 1:48 pm

Hi, my name is Danelle. I was diagnosed with IDC last Feb.(07). I had 3 or 4 positive nodes(can't remember) and my cells are high grade, poorly differentiated, and a 9 on the Richardson scale :( I am also a triple negative. I had just turned 40 when I got the diagnosis. After having two lumpectomies, I went through adriamycin, cytoxin and taxol, then 34 treatments of radiation.

I have so many questions and wonder what my chances are of it coming back. My onco left my port in. He said he would like to leave it in for a few years. That alone tells me something. I am a RN but I have forgotten all my Onco nursing when I was diagnosed. I am unable to work presently due to a diffucult heart condition I have had for years known as POTS syndrome (NOT POTTS). It is actually an autonomic nervous system disorder but ExTREMELY hard to treat, then the cancer hit. 10 months prior to my diagnoses, I had breast augmentation done, thank God it was under the muscle but still I wish my plastic surgeon would have checked me well before doing the surgery. Now my implant where I had the radiation is contracted and I will have to have it replaced.

Wow, I didn't know I was going to talk so much. I am actually looking for other survivors to talk to and I would LOVE to hear from other triple negative survivors.
