bunions and podiatry

Post a new topicby Guest on Fri Aug 19, 2005 9:49 am

I had surgery in April to supposedly correct a bunion I was offered no podiatry treatment or advise beforehand. The surgery was a complete failureand I've got to have more work done to correct it. Does anyone think I should insist on seeing a Podiatrist for advice before I proceed?

Who performed the surgery? A podiatrist or an orthopedic surgeon? In what way was the surgery a failure?

I would not go to a podiatrist but more likely I would go to an Orthopedic Surgeon instead. I have heard of many stories about podiatrists and bunions. Good Luck.
