bunions/ankle

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu May 02, 2002 11:37 am

I suffer from hallux vulgus on both feet. On my right foot I continually get corns.
Just recently my right ankle is swelling up all the time.
Low back pain is also starting to occour.
Is the ankle and lower back pain all to do with my bunions ?
If so what would you say is the best cause of action.? Thank you

Bunions can cause you to walk differently which puts strain on other joints such as your ankle and back. Therefore, if your bunions are painful, you should consider surgically correcting them before the arthritis within the joint becomes too severe. However, you should have your back and ankle pain examined as well to make sure you are not developing any other conditions.
