Toe pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Apr 29, 2002 9:44 am

I am having foot pain along the top and bottom of my foot (I am guessing along the Extensor Hallicus Longus Tendon). I am also having some localized pain and a very small bump/bulge at the base of my first toe. I am currently pregnant so decided to wait to see a doctor until after the baby is born, however, it is getting quite uncomfortable. Is there anything I should do?

During pregnancy, your arches will be strained because of the weight gain. Therefore, this is probably the cause of your pain. You should try over-the-counter arch inserts until you see a podiatrist. Also, your shoe size will probably increase permanently so make sure you have your feet measured the next time you buy shoes.
