what to do...Since I was 15 I went to my yearly appointment, YEARLY. Every September I was there almost to the day. In 2006, my pap came back fine. In 2007 at age 20, however, my Dr. called and explained that I had shown some high grade abnormal cells and that I would need to come in for a colpo. I was scared to death and had no idea what I was in for. I had the colpo in which she did four different biopsies. And of course they came back CIN 3. Some of them were labeled precancer and others were labeled cancer. They scheduled me for a LEEP and then ended up having to do a cone as well because there were more abnormal cells then they thought. After the procedure I assumed I was done but after my checkup they found more and had to take out a few more cells. I then was placed on every four month checkups because the Dr. did not want to continue "hacking" at my cervix.
The next 3 checkups all came back as low grade. I was told as long as they stayed at low grade that my dr. would not have to do anything. But I just went again for another four month check and just got a call that in 3 1/2 months it is high grade again. I have been having alot of issues the past three months including really bad cramping but not having a period, fatigue, and lost 12 pounds without trying or changing any habits(which is alot on my body). I am very nervous that it may be associated. My dr. is now sending me to an oncologist to consult and I am having another colpo. I am also getting a sonogram on my ovaries to make sure that there is nothing noticeable. I have not had children yet and am getting married in September. I feel like I should just get pregnant after this next procedure in case I have to have a hysterectomy at some point but I don't really know what to do... does anyone have any advice or a similar story? I'm really worried that it has become invasive or could become invasive and do not want to become infertile. Plus I heard multiple Cones can lead to infertility.
