Does it every really go away?2 months before my wedding I received a call from my gyn, regarding by papsmear. It came back abnormal and i would need to go back for more test. They found that I had mild displaysis [dysplasia], and had a coloscopy. This was 3 years ago, I have since been fine until this month. I was informed that it has returned and would need to go through treatment again.
I’m 26 years old and don’t understand why I’ve gone through this twice. This time around its been a lot harder for me....Read the full article
Re: Does it every really go away?Hi, I am new to this site and I was amazed in how many women have this problem. I was diagnosed with HPV when I was 18, she found out because I had condylomas so she did treatment and after that I was fine for 7 years, all my pap smears came back normal and I was happy, after I had my second child I went for a checkup after delivering and they did a pap smear with an abnormal result, I had it done again and it came back abnormal again, so I had a colposcopy and it came back that I have HPV low grade, my doctor said to come back in 6 months for a repeat pap smear to see if it cleared up on its own or what, so I had this about 2 weeks ago, 2 days ago I got a call from the nurse saying that my pap smear came back as low grade again and this time with mild dysplasia, I was so scared ,I freaked out and like you I always think the wrong and then the good, I cried my eyes out. I want to have more kids, but I don't think I will, I don't want to risk anything, I have two beauiful children and I want to be there for them and my hubby, so I will do whatever it takes to get rid of this and live a long life. Don't be angry and discouraged because being angry it just makes it worst, usually when one is angry or sad the immune system goes down and that's one of the reasons why your body doesn't fight the virus, I noticed this because with my last pregnancy I had so many problems and I was down almost all the time until my 7th month of pregnancy, don't worry you are not alone on this, hopefully soon they will have a cure for HPV virus, in the meantime we just have to keep going to the doctor and pray that it goes away.
