I am 35 years old. I received the news of an abnormal pap smear (January 07) and was told that I tested positive for the low risk and high risk forms of HPV I was upset and ashamed. Until now, I didn’t really understand how prevelant HPV is in our society. I always practiced safe sex, went for yearly checkups, etc. and was shocked when I found out. I didn’t know that you still can contract HPV using a condom through any type of skin to skin contact.
