Mirena IUD possible cause of severe cervical dysplasia?I’ve had the Mirena IUD in for less than one year and I’ve been diagnosed with severe cervical dysplasia and have had a cone treatment. Re: Mirena IUD possible cause of severe cervical dysplasia?I am currently wondering the same thing! I had my son last July and at my 6 week post partum appt I had an abnormal pap, resulting in moderate dysplasia and I also got the Mirena put in. It's a year later and all my paps have still been abnormal and I just had my second colposcopy done. I'm currently waiting for my results but from what I am reading and what my gyn saw so far, it seems like it is severe dysplasia now! I am wondering if the IUD has made it progress.
