scaredHi, I’m 19yrs old. I’ve had several normal pap smears in the past. last year my GYN Dr. insisted I get the Gardasal shot. which is to prevent cervical cancer and cervical dysplasia This series of three shots and very costly (NO INSURANCE).I finished the shots in August 2008 and guess what?? Re: scaredI don't know what is going on, but I'm reading more and more stories like this. Maybe it's a result of our drowning economy that is forcing doctors to make their quotas; sort of like a police officer forced to write parking tickets to make their daily quotas so their unit stays afoat. I know this is a harsh thing to say but the stories are the proof and unfortunately we are at their mercy. You should change your doctor but don't tell them anything about your history. I would let them figure that out on their own. Once I told a doctor I think I have a ulcer, he said yeah you do without conducting one damn test. He was quick to put me on costly medication even though I did not have an ulcer. I think you see my point.
