My Pap last year showed mild inflammatory changes–I was given a medication for that. Then this year my pap showed moderate to severe dysplasia. Just had the colposcopy and 4 biopsies yesterday. No pain with that at all, thanks to lidocaine gel and novocaine shots. Nervously waiting for the results now…I can’t wait for this to be over. Talk about stress.

I had colpo done yesterday (I've had 4 so far) but this time the Doc took four samples. I didn't have any pain medication or local anesthesia, he just went ahead and did it. I was wondering why it hurt so bad! and this time, in fact, the colpo seemed to burn or felt irritated in there. I thought I was going to pass out on the table. I have to wait two weeks as well, and go see him for the results. I was in too much pain to even care about results, but today I am reading everything on the internet about it and maybe alittle concerned now. I don't want to have to go through this for the rest of my life! all the treatments are effective seemingly until it comes back, and since it is a virus I am thinking it is useless to do anything since it will just show up again somewhere else, or whatever. Even with a hysterectomy I read that it can show up in the vagina, or vulva. I am feeling a little mad, complacent, and maybe a little concerned. I just don't want to have this anymore. but I don't want an operation either.
