worriedI was hoping that I could get a little more information. I am a 38 year old mom of three (18yrs,16yrs,10yrs). When my last child was born, I had my tubes tied. Re: worriedI am going through the same thing right now. I have one child (4) and have been married for 13 years.
What I know is that if your pap came back abnormal/squamus inclusive (whatever...) and you are HPV Positive...you have abnormal cells. HPV is the leading cause of cervical dysplsia which can if left untreated lead to cervical cancer. If you have dysplsai, you can either be CIN 1, CIN II, or CIN III....seems if you were 2 or 3, he'd have told you. IF he took biopsies and those came back without signs of dysplsia...that's possible. OR the biopsy missed it which can happen is a small % of the time). At this point and with your mother's history, I'd go for a second/third opinion from some other doctors.
