ACID TO TREAT CERVICAL DYSPLASIA

I was diagnosed in 2006 after losing my daughter at just five months. I was wondering if that could have caused this to happen. Also, I had a cervical polyp come up after only three months into my pregnancy. I was treated by my doctor with a form of acid. Is this normal?
