Hi, i am 28 years old, about nine months ago i had my first pap smear and it was abnormal, the doctor told me it was nothing to worry about sometimes it corrects itself. He did a coloyposocy and a HPV test. The coloyposocy showed no abnormal areas and the HPV test came back negative. Three weeks ago i went to a new gyn doctor because my period had not stop after 5 weeks. I was diagnosed with PCOS and she did a pap smear with a High HPV test the same time. Yesterday she called me and told me that the HPV test was negative but the pap smear was abnormal and detected HPV What??????
Because she had put me on Birth control to stop the bleeding and regulate my period, i am about to start my period, so she wants to schedule a biopsy once my period has stopped. I have been with the same person for 5 years and would hate to think that he is cheating on me. Could i have had the hpv prior and how long does it take for dysplasia to form.

I have worried myself sick over this, what after treatment i cant have children. My boyfriend and i have talked about getting married within the next year. I have never been promiscous and always faithful to my partners. I feel horrible.

sometimes this happens from long term use of birth control pill. don't worry the
same happen to me and it was taken care of and now I have two children
