CIN III

Post a new topicby hey_aid on Fri Mar 07, 2008 10:16 am

Hi everyone. This is my first forum experience. I've read through the forum, and I want to thank everyone for providing many answers to questions that I had. But I still have one more...
I am 25 years old. I had a normal PAP in 2006. In 2007, they found abnormalities. I was tested for HPV, and it came back positive for high-risk HPV A colposcopy was done and a week later I was diagnosed with CIN III dysplasia. I am in the process of scheduling a LEEP, but I have no insurance.
-By the way, I read the post from the woman who was diagnosed with dysplasia but can't afford to have it treated. The hospital where I will be having the LEEP done has approved me for the insurance rate of the procedure. This means that instead of paying $10,000 for the hospital stay, I'll pay $2750. I would suggest you talk to a hospitals financial advisor, and they can help you.
My question is, what happens after the LEEP? I've asked to skip the LEEP and go for the hysterectomy but my doc said no surgeon would perform that surgery without losing his license because I'm 25 with no children. What everyone fails to realize is that my dream is to be a pilot, not a mother. But this condition is preventing me from flying at the moment.
Will the dysplasia come back after the LEEP? Or will I be clear from it? I need a normal PAP in order to get into flight school, but HPV and LGSIL is acceptable, as long as it's confirmed by a colposcopy. Will I ever have a normal (for me) PAP again?
