I am still shocked...I am 29 years old, I have 2 kids, been married for 6 years and in this same relationship for 8 years. I was told in June 2007 that I have abnormal cells. I am scheduled for laser therapy shortly. The part that I am having a hard time with is where did this come from? My husband assumed I was having an affair to "get" this...I am 100% confident that both my husband and I are monogomous...can this just come out of nowhere? Do one of us have to have HPV to eventually be diagnosed with cervical dysplasia? I am still shocked that this is happening...
Re: I am still shocked...HPV Is the most common cause it is not the only cause, it does not mean anyone has been unfaithful
Re: I am still shocked...Hello, I am going through the same thing I have 3 children and I am married. The Doctor told me that you can get it at the age of 15 and it can lay dormit in you're system for years. The scarey thing for me is I had a Pap done a year age and they never called to tell me I had abnormal cells. The only way I found what was I went for another reason and they had told me "Well needless to say I am beyond mad and scared." So I went for one Biospy and that came back that I have Severe Dysplasia and also the HPV High Risk. So I have to have surgery in Dec to get half of my cervix removed and cause it's been a year I am so scared as to what they will find.
