lletz / leep procedure?

I just wondered if anyone who has had the lletz / leep procedure done could tell me the in's and out's. I have now had 4 biopsy's taken over a 2 year period and have been told this is the next step for me. I know that it is performed under a local anesthetic, and would like someone to be honest about how much the inital anesthetic injectons hurt.
