Moderate Vaginal Dysplasia

Post a new topicby lagcvann1 on Thu Oct 16, 2008 8:27 pm

During my annual pap test I found out that there was a problem. A follow up with a Colopscopy showed that the dysplasia wasn't "Mild" like the pap test said, but "Moderate" so I am scheduled for Lazor Vaporization next week. Doctor indicated that HPV is most probably the culprit. It's strange because I thought that since I have had a total hysterectomy I wouldn't have to worry about this type of thing. I was wrong and now I am more worried since the dysplasia is actually in the vaginal wall I worry that it may become invasive more easily. I have been "googling" everything that I can about HPV and the procedure but still have many questions. Anyone out there that has the "vaginal" dysplasia who has some experience and history that may help me understand what I am facing?
