will this ever end?

Hi im new to this forum. Ive been diagnosed with hpv and i have worrying alot on how i have gotten this or where it began. Ive just turned 43 this year. How far will the doctor go on "watch and wait" period before really doing anything? My paps in june was abnormal and now i have to go for the colopsy thing again and probably the 6 month wait etc.

If hpv is in everyone, well almost, then why does society labels it as an std? I think all of us would be ok with it if the society doesnt label things.

Im having a tough time dealing with it. When my family practice called me, i was scared. I felt dirty and its something you really dont talk about. You walk into an gyn office, you feel like they know and you still feel dirty but after reading sites after sites and forums, you get some relief but then you get another abnormal paps, then you worry all over again.

I talked to my ob/gyn and told him that i tried to figure it out where it started and what my life has been like, he also said that the immune system plays a role. I know my immune system has been down for 4yrs now. It is hard, very hard to get my immune system back up. I was caring for my late husband so you had to eat whenever you can.

I just want to know will the virus really end or just go dormant again? Do you have to let everyone know that you have it or just the doctors? Im still confused about it.

I thought sex was suppose to be enjoyable.
