I am into my 4th round of Chemo and meds. Experiencing severe constipation, what is the best way to handle this....I can't eat anymore prunes they are making me gag!

Has your oncologist suggested over the counter medications such as "Pericolace"(docusate sodium with casanthrol) or Sennokot? Both have been gentle yet very effective in my experience.

I'M experancing the same problems as you are having. My doctors have presp. to me a liquid lax. called lactulose. which I take 4 times a day 15 to 30 cc. I had been experancing severe constipation. This stuff really works but does cause alot of gas. Ask you dr. cause this is not over the counter. I feel for you. I"m on my 4th round of chemo treatments. Good luck
