Chemo side-effects

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Jun 25, 2001 8:15 pm

I just finished my second round of chemotherapy Cytoxin-Adriamycin combination. Not much nausea due to ativan, but I am really tired and depressed. What can I do to help the fatigue and depression? All I want to do is cry the couple of days after treatment. Will these symptoms get any worse with further treatments? I have 6 more ahead of me. Thank you.

The tiredness may be related to underlying depression or the chemotherapy or both. The crying is most likely related to underlying depression and trying to cope with the loss of control you are experiencing. I would suggest speaking with your physician about counseling, mood elevators or both. Good luck and thank you for using oncologychannel.
