Chemotherapy Breast Cancer

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue May 28, 2002 2:02 pm

Dear Dr.
I am a Canadian living in Barbados and had my operation and radiation done in Florida. I opted to get my chemo here in Barbados where I live with a chemical perscription from an onocologist in FLA . No need to go into a long story but almost died with first chemo treatment here and found out subsequently was overdosed by error to the tune of 2-3 times the required amount. This was in November last year.
My doctor wants me to go back to Florida and start my chemo again. I am still having digestive problems lower tract mostly from the last chemo bomb. I am concerned about the cancer coming up somewhere else, but more terrified of having more chemo I had stage 2 breast cancer, not estrogen fed, and #3 on the agressive scale. My tumour was over 2 cm so stage 2.

Have you any advise for me? Also I haven't felt well, but lack of energy and unsettling lower tract diarrea problem. Does this happen to many chemo patients? How long before I can feel myself? What can I do to help to feel better sooner?
