Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

I have finished eight rounds of c/a taxol (f cycles of each), I completely out hair. My eyebrows have returned, my lashes half way re. When can I expect hair on my head to return? It presently is grey baby down fluff, Nothing like brown thick hair I had.It has been over two months since my last taxol dose. I realize is a small issue compd to intense difficult treatments I have already completed, yet I long to be back to I recognize as normal. Thanks

Hair regrowth usually depends upon the rate of growth prior to chemotherapy. If you hair was slow growing it could take longer to obtain significant hair growth (two months is usually considered a short period of time). I would say, based on my experience, that 6-8 months would give short hair (maybe 1-2 inches in length). Thank you for using oncologychannel and please write back if other questions should arise. Good luck.
