Re: Living with horrible chronic painElizabeth;
Time restricts me from being able to type long enough to ensure you that I know exactly where you are. I too am a Believer, and my ultimate hope for every day lies there. You are doing the right thing by "detoxing" yourself, but the wrong thing if you feel you are doing it for the medical community. Do it for you. Get to the point (despite the agony) where you are only relying (only) on your own ability to deal with the pain. Then and only then will you be able to begin a NEW relationship with a NEW Doctor. This is a Doctor you must Pray for. Then and only then will you be able to adopt (with the Doc) a pain management plan that is only PART medication, the other part You!. Hang in there, I know every minute, every second can weigh heavily. Have comfort that The Lord it there with you, and or that you are never alone. Have faith in the Hope that only He can bring. Remember in OUR weakness HE is made strong. Stay on track, keep your focus and take life one second at a time if need be.
