depression

An almost twelve year old neighbor of ours is taking dexedrine two times a day for ADHD and then Wellbutrin for depression at bedtime. His behavior seems odd and his emotion is flat. Do these medicines have side effects or interact with each other in such a way that his behavior is worse because of them?

There is a lot of "which came first, chicken or egg" here. There is no really well documented interaction.

It may be that he is on these medicines due to his state and that the state is not due to the medications.
