Is euthanasia for depression legal in any country?

I am not really sure. I believe Holland has the most "liberal" laws for euthanasia, but I am not sure if depression per se would be grounds.

Heya,

Here in Australia it is definitely illegal. If you do it yourself, then you have no problems with the law (you are dead!) but if another person, such as a doctor or whoever, helps you out at all with your suicide they will be in legal trouble for "assisted suicide". Not sure what the legal name for it is, but its basically "assisting a suicide" (or accessory or something? not sure of the legal terms). This carries a lengthy prison term.
