painful experience

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue May 14, 2002 11:40 am

Dear doc,
I sold of my ancestral home and got a fair amount of money. From that money I chose to buy a comfortable home for my small family. Also I decided to advance my carrier. For that purpose I sat in an examination. Just before the examination, I got very anxious and began to vomit. It was in a couple of days that I began to feel symptoms which now I know constitute depression
Now I have a fair amount of wealth and am otherwise also all right but for this depression I can’t understand why it has happened. It is becoming all the more painful experience as before the illness started I was on top of the world, trusting my abilities I thought I could achieve anything. Now let alone take care of my kids, I can’t even take care of my own needs.

Depression can be caused by financial worries, but financial health does not guard against depression. Plenty of very successful people have suffered and been treated for depression.
