Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding - Irregular bright spottingI am 48. I have always had spotting between periods that was never bothersome and the Dr. was never concerned. Recently the spotting is lasting longer (but slower), appears brighter red in color and is causing significant itching in back labial area. Has anyone else ever had this issue. It even seems to make vag itch and burn a bit as well.

It has been like this the past few months. I started my period today and am dreading it. I want to know if anyone else experiences this or not.

She also did a biopsy that came back normal. Yesterday I had a follow up sonogram, followed by another unexpected biopsy which now has me worried. My doctor commented about only touching my uterus slightly, resulting in bleeding. It was one week since my last period. I was told I also have a cyst too large on my right ovary. She prescribed Provera once again and I'm counting the days until I have to begin treatment. I feel unsettled because no one ever gives solid answers. To me, a normal biopsy is not enough to just accept the bleeding as normal. I'm lost...
