I'm very familiar with this scenario. Mine was confined to the uterus - stage I, until they found the cells had snuck out of the fallopian tubes and were floating around in the peritoneal fluid. Some tiny tumors attached to my liver and diaphragm and omentum. Turned me into Stage III, just like your wife. I admire her faith, but I'm living proof that going through the hell of Chemo, especially when they are tiny like hers - is worth it. I was diagnosed Jan 2006, the little buggers started attaching in May 2007. Went through chemo all that summer and fall. CT scan October 2008, MRI April 2009 showed all clear! I have another one coming up October 2009. No one expected me to survive, but the chemo smoked the little buggers. The key is to get them when they are tiny.
