About sick and tired of ED

Post a new topicby cardoctor on Thu Apr 24, 2008 5:39 am

Hello to all, I am new here and have a couple questions. I am 44 years old and have been suffering with ed for about 15 years. I have rheumatoid arthritis high blood pressure and just over a month ago, I had a heart attack. I am on several medications for the above conditions, and also have a prescription for Cialis. I have taken Viagra and Levitra in the past. With all three meds, I have had positive results in the past, but they are not working here lately. Earlier tonight, my wife and I had a pretty bad argument about my lack of intimacy and I am really wanting to find a fix for this problem. Due to the difficulties of achieving and maintaining an erection, I have taken the cowards way out and avoided putting myself in those situations where I can disappoint both her and I, which in itself, has resulted in just that. It is extremely difficult for me to achieve and erection, and when I do, I usually lose it within a few minutes. Usually just time enough to really get into it, and it all falls apart. I love my wife more than life itself and, believe me when I say this, she is the sexiest woman I know.

I have read some very good information on here, and I am planning to put most of it to good use. I wish I had stumbled onto this site years ago. However, I am looking for something I can do to make things better now, and the closest Boston Medical clinic is 250 miles away. I have discussed this problem with my gp, and he has prescribed the above mentioned meds. My testosterone levels have been checked, and show up on the low side of the normal range. I have seen a urologist in the past, and he also wrote out a script after checking my prostate.

My question is, has anyone here had any experience with vacuum erection devices? I am going to quit smoking, and change my eating habits, but this seems like it could be a viable option while I make the lifestyle changes that I need to make.

Also, second question, is there really that big of a difference between those $400- $500 pumps sold through medical suppliers and the ones sold through adult toy sites? I am currently uninsured, and since the insurance industry refuses to write policies for people with my conditions, am probably pretty apt to stay uninsured for the foreseeable future.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
