Am I going to lose my husband? this is so sad

Post a new topicby nokturnopr on Thu Nov 20, 2008 2:42 pm

Hi girls,I'm 27 years old and I have 0 sex drive, it doesn't exist. It started after I started to get treated for postpartum depression after a couple of months, my sexual drive disappeared! I'm so sad! It's been a more than a year now. My husband has been so supportive and he's been so patient but how much rejection can he take?I saw a neurologist who gave me hormones but so far, nothing. I can't even kiss my husband, so sad! I'm so scared that eventually he's going to get tired from the lack of affection. what can I do?? At this point I'm so desperate!

Hi, I'm 29 and in the same situation... I think my issues started after I had my first child. It has gotten worse since (my daughter is 5). My husband was patient for a little while... I guess... but he is feeling so unloved and unwanted by me. I have no desire and when we are intimate it hurts. Our relationship has gone down hill in the past year or so and I feel sex is a huge part of this. Things have gotten really bad recently. I don't know what to do anymore... My husband has actually told me he wants me to just pretend. That really hurt me. I have gotten to the point now where I've told him he should find someone else for sex.

My doctor says there is nothing more he can do for me and I will just have to live with this.

I'm really sorry you are having the same trouble. It is great to hear your husband is supportive of you.

I hope things get better for you soon.

I know exactly what you mean and it's so sad. Although, my husband is very supportive, I still worry that one day he will get tired. You know, my problem got worse after my daughter was born, but here's the thing, I was on antidepressants because of post partum depression. I went to see a sex therapist and she thinks my problem is hormonal, not pshychologycal like all my doctors have said (most doctors I've seen they think it's phychological because of my age, 28). She now wants to see all of my labs, because they did tell me my testoterone levels were in the lower end, but that it couldn't affect my sex drive, but my sex therapist disagrees and says the lower end varies from person to person and although my lab results might be in the lower end normal, it could be enough for me to not be able to get turned on....I also told her that I did not think it was something psychological because nothing, absolutely nothing turns me on....why don't you look for a certified sex therapist? at least today I got some hope for my problem :) I hope you're doing better, please keep in touch!

seems that you take a lot of stress, that is probably the reason for the loss of sexual desire ,also please review your antidepressents(coz some of them also cause the same). Also in your routine there must be some free time in which there should be happiness, satisfaction in the mind everything should be smooth.Your husband seems to be very understanding and sincere ,he will never leave u in trouble because he understands --isn't this not gives you some happiness----think good and beautiful, have faithin almighty.

baljinder, it's been a few months since you wrote your original post, and a couple of months since the last response. Do you have an update to your situation?
