desperate for answersplease help,
I am 41. lately I have been having trouble getting hard or keeping an erection. This is causing a serious problem with My relationship with My girlfriend. She seems to think that she doesn't arouse Me anymore and won't believe Me when I tell her that it is Me that is the problem, that there is something wrong with Me. I have also experienced a lack of sexual desire at times. I have managed to get through a lovemaking session occasionally but then it happens again and My girlfriend gets upset and cries and once again think that she is the problem. Any advice you can give Me would be helpful.
Re: desperate for answersYou need to see a physician, preferably a urologist with experience in erectile dysfunction. I can't say what your problem is, but Viagra is very likely to help in view of your occasional success.

Re: Re: desperate for answersYour g/f is not helping the situation, as her crying and blaming herself makes you feel guilty which, in turn, places more pressure on you to perform, which makes you less likely to perform, which makes her feel like it is her fault and so she blames herself more, etc.
Viagra might help - it is worth a try. If won't help your desire, but if you have less desire to your fear of failure to perform, then it might give you the psychological boost you need. So, certainly, see a doctor. If Viagra does not help, then try to get a consulation with urologst, as colgbrown suggests.
