Penile implant

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Mar 03, 2003 2:15 am

I am 26 years old and have had a loss of sexual function and libido since the age of 18. I have been told that the origin of my sexual dysfunction is neurological. I have tried a variety of drugs as possible remedies to no avail.

I have pretty much given up and am now considering the possibilty of getting a penile implant. Although it would not address my libido issues, at least it could be a solution for my erectile problems. However, I am a little leary of such a procedure.

Nevertheless, I have a few questions. I have read that with an implant procedure, you are destined to loose a little size. Is that the case? Or can one maintain their full size after such a procedure?

Also, what is the recovery like with such a procedure? I have a physically demanding job requiring very heavy lifting. Would such a procedure interfere with my being able to perform my job? Or is one able to continue as normal right after the implant surgery?
