Spinal tap = ED?I just turned 20 and last April I had a spinal tap. I ended up being hospitalized for 3 days because of a spinal headache, sent home and then hospitalized again a few days later due to a recurrence of the spinal headache. I had intense pain in my lower back for a few weeks and I have had migraines ever since.
I just started becoming sexually active last fall but I have never been able to hold an erection - I just become semi-erect, and nobody has ever been able to make me reach an orgasm. I figured the causes were psychological but even when I masturbate now I have a lot of trouble ejaculating... then I read that spinal injuries can cause impotence, and of course now I´m wondering if there´s a connection between the two. Is it possible for a spinal tap to cause erectile dysfunction? What should I do about this? It is definitely making me unhappy, and since I´m living in Spain for the year I have no idea how to access a urologist
Re: Spinal tap = ED?I tend to doubt the spinal tap is directly causing your problems. It might be the pain and resulting anxiety, though. I suspect things will improve with time, especially if you can get the pain under control. Otherwise, I would advise seeing a urologist to find out if he can find out what is going on.
