It just hurts, living with fibromyalgiaI first began noticing signs after I would exercise. I would walk and then have knots pop up along my shins. I thought for a long time I was just having shin splints. Then I noticed the knots would pop up in my calves and be very tender. My mom was afraid I had Lupus. Re: It just hurts, living with fibromyalgiaI understand your pain, I was diagnosed in August of this year. I have 2 teenage children, and this has taken away me spending the quality time with them that I use too. I to don't want the pain because it feels like a vice grip takes over my body. I was told that I may have to start taking the antidepressant for better sleep and I will be starting physical therapy to see if I can get my muscle loosen. I tried the lyrica and had very bad side effect to it after being on it for a couple of months. I'm on gabepentin 1800mg. and the pain has easied up some,but I still can't walk far distances or do stairs that well. I had to move my bedroom to the lower level of our home. I hope that soon I can resume my life and be able to deal with this disease.
