Headache

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

Sometimes I have pain on one side or top of my head or times both sides. pain will even radiate down my jaw line. One doctor says y migraines anor says y tension. I have had headached since age of eight a cat scan came out clear. I take Inderal Imitrex it doesn't seem to work. Since my gastric by-pass three years ago, re many medicines I can't take because y will not settle in my stomach. I also have normally low blood pressure it will elevate to about 120/100 when my head starts hurting. Is it possible I suffer from both types of headaches else can I do m?

It certainly is possible that you suffer from a mixed headache syndrome, including an element of medication rebound headache (such as with the use of Imitrex or analgesics since you have had a headache for years). Other means of treatment, such as exercise, neuromuscular massage therapy, biofeedback or Botulinum toxin injections can be helpful for some people with mixed headaches. A headache clinic may be a good idea.
