no pain, just array of symptoms

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Sep 17, 2002 10:13 am

I have had frequent Migraines since January, when I had a frightening one and was hospitalized for possible stroke Lost vision in one side, couldn't understand people speaking to me, BP went from normal to 170/120, ringing in ears, physical tingling, thirst and then 5 bowel movements in a few hours. All functions sped up. An MRI ecocardiamgram and other tests showed nothing like a stroke so Migraine was the conclusion and I have Mitral Valve prolapse, which is something I don't know much about. I have improved to what I call mini Migraines and have had 8 in the last 10 days..just visual disturbances and ringing in ears, etc. These come on for no apparent reason. Can it be caused by the Estrogen I am taking? I am 51 yrs old and trying to avoid hot flashes and sleep deprivation due to menopause symptoms AND trying to manage Migraines Don't know which is worse......Any suggestions on how to balance all this stuff? Never been sick before last January and no call in sick too often. Help!!
Sincerely,
Donna
