Pressure headache symptoms, MRI results...

Post a new topicby Bret on Fri May 02, 2008 4:31 pm

I am new to this forum, and any comments to my situation are very appreciated! I am a healthy active 44 year old male in MN. 3 months ago I came down with a 103 fever. No stomach flu, but felt extreme head pressure and felt lifeless for 36 hours. Ever since then, I have been feeling lightheaded, unsteady, fatigued, and feel a pressure sensation around my eyes and on my temples. The day I had my MRI scheduled I had an episode where I started to black out with my right hand shaking for 4-5 seconds. First time in my life that has ever happened. Anyway, the technicians review of the MRI revealed a chronic sinusitus condition. I was given some antiobiotics then (9 days ago) which I started. For the next 4 days, I saw my symptoms improve by 50%.Then, this past Monday, I have regressed back to the same state. I have pressure headaches often, just a matter of degree. One I had 2 days ago had me so spaced out in pain that I had to leave work. Awful. My question is regarding the sinus dx-not sure I think that is it, but maybe someone here can attest. Would my initial improvement mean that they had started to work but were not strong enough? I have my appt with a neuro on Tuesday of next week which may tell me something. This has been a long road and I am looking for some possible answers. Thank you all
