severe headaches

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Oct 20, 2005 3:23 pm

I am a 24 yr. old female. I got a severe headache over 2 weeks ago. I went to the doctor for migraine meds but nothing is working. Then he tried to give me meds for a tension headache. Nothing works. I can't sleep because when I lay down the pain is 10 times worse. My head just pounds. I am going for a CAT scan and someone mentioned a neurologist. Any suggestions or what might be wrong.

Hi Peanut781, I just joined this forum and saw your post. You doctor will probably send you to a Neurologist because these doctors are brain doctors and can help you find out why you are having these headaches. I was in a horrible car accident and I have TBI and have had severe headaches for 30 years now,and still trying to find a neurologist to help me with the pain in my head. Good luck and I wish you the best.
