severe headache questionHello fellow headache sufferers. I feel your pain, I share my sympathies with you. I too suffer from them. When I was a child I would get severe headaches probably less then 10 a year. Doctors would tell me sinuses all the time. They were bad enough to make me dizzy and really sick. Now, I am 36 and most days I have a headache to some varying degree. I've seen a neurologist who'd said migraines. Which, I agree that my symptoms match that. He put me on Bextra that I took every day which helped tremendously. No headaches anymore. They however pulled that drug off the market. But after being on that for a year before they pulled it....my headaches just stopped being so frequent and back to just a few here and there. Past 2 years I've only been meds when I get a headache. recently...the headaches have been everyday again. mornings are ok, I can stand them but by afternoon they hurt so bad I have to go home. What it feels like is like my eyes have been crossed for several moments, strained beyond belief. Migraine meds aren't doing a thing, sinus meds nothing, regular pain relievers, nada. Only thing that helps is bed and starting the next day with the dull ache again. The sun hurts extremely bad. It can take a very mild headache and make it severe in a matter of minutes. When anyone else has these dehibilitating headaches...do you miss big parts of the day after? I have one and the next day...patches of time are missing...memory is foggy. Is that normal? Is it a pain defense? Living with headaches takes it's toll on the body... I'd rather have a broken bone...for life! Much easier to deal with. Anyway...I wish you all well and that soon there will be enough knowledge about headaches to make them disappear all together. =0)
