Valve replacement is available for stenotic (blocked) or regurgitation (leaking) heart valves. In regards to age it is less important than over all health and the risk of surgery to the patient.

Hinaji,

I read post and seems like your father has valve problem and also circulaton problem of the arteries.
There are few things you need to find out and make informed decision. Standard of care in your country could be different and outcome of surgery could be different too.

1. How severe is narrowing of Valve, I presumed your father has Aortic valve stenosis and regurgitation. What is the area of valve ?
2. How bad was heart attack ?
3 How strong is heart muscle ? Echocardiogram would tell what was the Ejection Fraction.
4. Did he hace heart failure or any other complication following heart attack ?
