My blood pressure has always zoomed up in the late afternoon and evening, even when I am on my meds. My routine is 50mg atenolol, 10 mg lisinolril around lunch time (up until then my BP is fine) then metolazone 2.5 mg late afternoon (when BP is around 140/90), then clonidine 0.1 at bedtime to keep it down while I am sleeping. I monitor it to see what the pattern is...always up in the afternoon and night.

Also, my doctor wants me to take a stress test, but I have to get off the meds three days previous, which I don't want to do, isn't there a CT heart scan I can do instead?
