extremely late conversion

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Aug 20, 2002 11:12 pm

Hello Doc Reiter, what are the chances of testing for hiv antibodi using eia 1/2 turns out to be positive between the seventh month to the one year anniversary....after having tested negative up to the seventh month.

For some reasons, I still feel like i'm infected hiv. Would u recommend more testing? or psychological help? Thank you.

This is virtually unheard of these days. The way to close the door on the issue is a viral load, if that is negative, move on. And, yes you may benefit from some counseling since you're ruminating (probably unreasonably) about something you have no evidence of having. GR
