infection

Post a new topicby Guest on Fri Feb 15, 2002 8:17 pm

I had unprotected sex with a female and the next day i developed an apthous ulcer in my cheek. Would infection of HIV if contracted appear that early? I also just had braces applied a month earlier could it be from rough contact of my mouth causing any other bacteria or germ to arise and cause the ulcer? I guess its too early to test so i was trying to put my mind at ease and wanted to know if infection would show as early as one day with the ulcer or could it be caused by any other reason other than HIV such as bacteria or anything else? please reply as soon as possible?

You would not develop an apthous, herpetic or syphlitic (sp?) ulcer in one day. How do you know it's an apthous ulcer?? Were you diagnosed with that before? Or did you have an ulceration, possibly from your braces, that you think is apthous? GR
